Educational Seminars and Publications

Dr. Rybicki is active in providing training and publishing articles of interest to psychologists and the legal community. Some of the current training events (and past events) are listed below. There are also some articles of interest at the bottom of this page.

Dr. Rybicki offers Professional Continuing Education Seminars for Psychologists and Attorneys designed to satisfy state requirements while providing timely and useful information. He has conducted training for legal and mental health audiences in such areas as --
Utilizing Mental Health Experts Effectively Child Custody Evaluation; Parenting Plans for High Conflict Cases; Issues involved in Relocation Cases; Visitation Resistance and Alienation; Specialty Issues in Forensic Psychology such as Repressed Memory, Child Abuse Evaluation, Domestic Violence, Malingering; and  How to Cross-Examine Mental Health Experts.

Recent Publications and Forthcoming Publications: Dr. Rybicki has continued to work to update and revise the original manuscript for a lengthy textbook on Forensic Psychology. While this work is still in progress, you may access an earlier version of a segment from the chapter on Family Law and Divorce issues pertaining to Parental Alienation Syndrome and Enmeshment. This posting will likely be revised before publication with additional material on the criticisms of Gardner's PAS concept, recent efforts to include PAS in the DSM-V, and related topics such as visitation resistance. Dr. Rybicki has co-authored two articles on Family Law Special Masters and how they would be trained and structured in order to improve the quality of dispute resolution in Washington State. Dr. Rybicki has also published an article on police psychology with a focus on pre-employment psychological evaluations and work fitness or fitness for duty evaluations.
